Inpatient Palliative Medicine Physician
After completing residency in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Emily Carlisle continued to practice in a large academic urban trauma center for nearly a decade. Her core teaching interests included wilderness/austere medicine and critical care skills using simulation. She became interested in Palliative Medicine through her years on the hospital Ethics Committee and as the ED liaison for Palliative Care operations. Fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Medicine has allowed an opportunity to spend more time with patients working toward collaborative care.
